Ole Miss has found the next head coach of the Rebels in Matt Luke.

The report initially surfaced Sunday that Luke would receive the full-time position after serving as the interim coach this season. The details of a contract were then announced Monday with Luke and Ole Miss agreeing to a four-year deal.

The Rebels did have an up-and-down season under Luke but found a way to finish the year with a 6-6 record. That is a solid performance considering Hugh Freeze’s departure and the season-ending injury to starting QB Shea Patterson midseason. Ole Miss finished off the year with a 31-28 upset of in-state rival Mississippi State.
