What better way for a new Ole Miss commit to end a tweet than with #LaneTrain?

The Rebels landed their first commitment of the Lane Kiffin era as 3-star JUCO linebacker Daylen Gill, who plays for Jones County Junior College, announced his decision to head to Ole Miss on Twitter on Monday:

Gill’s commitment came only hours after Kiffin was introduced as the new Ole Miss head coach. Kiffin is returning to the SEC, where he was previously Tennessee head coach (2009) and Alabama offensive coordinator (2014-16), after three seasons at the helm for Florida Atlantic.

Gill is the No. 8 JUCO safety in the 2019 class, per the 247sports Composite rankings, as well as the No. 20 JUCO recruit from Mississippi.

It doesn’t come as too much of a surprise that Gill has committed to Ole Miss, as he was already previously committed to the school. He committed to the Rebels on March 25 before decommitting on Dec. 2, shortly following the firing of Matt Luke.

However, many have been excited about Kiffin’s arrival at Ole Miss, so now Gill has decided he’ll be attending the school after all.
