Ole Miss will be without one of its key offensive weapons for a little while.

The Rebels are off to a 2-1 start this season, and a big reason for the positive start is the combination of QB Shea Patterson and WR A.J. Brown. Unfortunately for the Rebels, Brown will be out a week or two with a sprained MCL. Head coach Matt Luke provided the update Monday.

Brown, a sophomore, has proven very valuable to Ole Miss. His 389 receiving yards lead the SEC through Week 3. His 16 catches are tied for second in the SEC while his four TDs are tied for the lead with teammate DaMarkus Lodge.

Ole miss is off this week, but the schedule gets a lot tougher the rest of the way. Starting next weekend, the next four games for the Rebels are at Alabama, at Auburn, vs. Vanderbilt, and vs. LSU. The offense will need a healthy Brown to be at its best in those matchups.
