Ole Miss will take a hit on its defense as a defensive lineman has announced that he will enter the transfer portal.

On Friday, it was announced by DL Brandon Mack that he would be leaving the Rebels after he spent the last 3 years in Oxford. In his social media announcement, Mack cited the transfer as the “best decision for his future” while he also thank his Ole Miss teammates and coaches.

Mack arrived in Oxford in 2019 as a 3-star recruit, but redshirted his freshman year after he didn’t see any action for the Rebels.

In his freshman redshirt season, Mack recorded 6 tackles and 2.0 TFLs. Mack missed the entirety of his 2021 sophomore season because of a pre-season injury. The offensive line battled back this season to see action as part of the field goal block and kick coverage units, as well as defensive end for the Rebels.
