Ole Miss’ troll job of Texas A&M stirs up social media chatter from 3 fan bases

Ole Miss takes on Texas A&M this week, and to get fans fired up, the Rebels’ social media team pulled out a troll job of the Aggies with an image of a Longhorn and a “Beat Texas” only with A&M Sharpied into the image.
Most Aggies’ fans took it in stride, and said that Ole Miss wished it could play the weaker team, Texas, but instead must content with A&M. Still others wrote, “Nice burn, just got to back it up!” and “This is like a three-way troll. Trolling A&M because we are “little brother” to ut-Austin. Trolling Texas because they thought they were “excited” to get an easy win against them. And trolling themselves because they now realize they have to play and possibly lose against TAMU.”
Here’s a sampling of some of the social media reaction:
Please watch game film on Texas.. https://t.co/z5X9vpUyiZ

I bet you were excited. If you were playing Texas, Corral could sit in the pocket with just the center protecting him and he would have all day. We’re not Texas. https://t.co/f6Dzt7o7Wb

That best part about this is the surprisingly large contingent of Ole Miss students/grads from Texas that went to school there because they didn’t get into either A&M or UT.

Well yeah, if I were Ole Miss I’d also have been excited to think I was playing a washed 4-5 Big 12 team, and pretty bummed that instead it’s an top 15 SEC opponent on a 4-game win streak that beat Bama and AU who both kicked me to the curb pic.twitter.com/xLnV1BnWYb
