“The Egg Bowl” energizes the entire state of Mississippi.

Generally speaking, there’s an allegiance to one of two schools: The University of Mississippi or Mississippi State. This rivalry game pits two in-state programs against one another, and the contest is traditionally rooted in emotion.

Unfortunately for Ole Miss TE Evan Engram, it appears as if he’ll be missing out on the action:

Engram is not dressed for Saturday’s contest. He suffered an injury last week versus Vanderbilt. Listed as “questionable” for the contest by head coach Hugh Freeze, Engram ultimately wasn’t able to go.

Engram is one of the nation’s best tight ends. He leads all tight ends with 926 receiving yards, and is second with 65 receptions.
