Former LSU wide receiver turned fullback turned wide receiver Tony Upchurch is transferring from the university, according to The Advocate’s Ross Dellenger.

The 6-foot-1, 240-pound sophomore moved from receiver to fullback before moving back to receiver this offseason. However, he’s missed several recent practices, according to Dellenger, as well as the spring game. Now, we know why.

Upchurch is a former four-star prospect and was rated as the country’s No. 45 wide receiver and the No. 36 player in the state of Texas in the class of 2014.

He played in eight games this past season as a redshirt freshman at fullback.
