The quickest way to become an SEC assistant? Coach the Central Michigan Chippewas.

In addition to Tennessee head coach Butch Jones, three other high-profile SEC assistants have spent at least one game as the Chippewas’ head man.

Overall, the SEC boasts 11 different assistant coaches who have served as FBS or NFL head coaches elsewhere. (That’s excluding SEC assistants who were head coaches at a junior college, FCS, Division II, Division III or high school.)

Three of those 11 coach for Alabama schools and three of those 11 coach at LSU.

Here’s a list of every current SEC assistant who has coached an FBS program.
