Paul Finebaum and Matt Barrie of ESPN got together to discuss the possibility of an all-SEC College Football Playoff field.

The scenario involves Alabama winning out including the SEC Championship, Ole Miss only losing to Alabama, Tennessee winning out and then losing in the SEC Championship, and Georgia only losing to Tennessee.

This scenario would leave all 4 teams with 1 loss.

“Who would you leave out at that point?” pondered Barrie.

“If Tennessee can get to the SEC Championship undefeated and then lose to Alabama, I’d be pretty inclined not to leave them out,” Finebaum replied. “If Tennessee defeats Georgia, Georgia can just move on from the conversation.”

If this scenario plays out, the committee will have a tough decision on its hands. Michigan, Ohio State, Clemson, and TCU are all still undefeated, in addition to the SEC bunch.

Tennessee will play Georgia on Nov. 5 and Alabama plays Ole Miss on Nov. 12 in games that could greatly impact the College Football Playoff.
