The latest AP Top 25 is out and 6 SEC teams are featured. Last week’s poll also featured 6 SEC teams. Mizzou’s win over Kentucky has sent the Wildcats packing, with the Tigers returning to the top 25.

Georgia has been No. 1 throughout the season, and the Bulldogs are still on top. UGA is ahead of Michigan and others as a 7-0 squad after defeating Vanderbilt on Saturday. Kirby Smart’s team is on a bye in Week 8. No. 2 Michigan will try to make the case to take the top spot against in-state rival Michigan State.

SEC West leader Alabama is the second-highest SEC team in the poll. The Crimson Tide defeated Arkansas 24-21 to remain unbeaten in conference play. UA stays at No. 11 amid plenty of shuffling in the top 10.

Tennessee’s game against Texas A&M did not play out as expected, but the Volunteers were rewarded by the voters for the defensive win, moving up 2 spots to No. 17.

Ole Miss was on a bye in Week 7. The Rebels maintained their No. 13 ranking for the Week 8 poll.

LSU had another strong outing, defeating rival Auburn 48-18. Brian Kelly’s team moved up 3 spots to No. 19.

Mizzou was on top of “others receiving votes” last week. The Tigers’ road win over Kentucky was good enough to get ranked No. 20. UK, meanwhile, dropped out after previously being ranked No. 24.
