Associated Press unveils Top 25 college basketball rankings
Though college football is still in full swing, it’s never too early to take a quick look at what the college basketball season should have in store.
The Associate Press debuted its Top 25 on Monday, slotting Kansas in first place just ahead of No. 2 Kentucky. Four other SEC teams appeared in the rankings — No. 6 Tennessee, No. 11 Auburn, No. 18 Mississippi State and No. 23 LSU — while Florida, Alabama and Missouri received votes outside of the Top 25.
Overall, it’s a great starting point for the SEC after a historic season a year ago. Long considered to be one of the weakest power conferences in college basketball, the SEC sent a record-setting eight teams to the 2017-18 NCAA Tournament.
The AP clearly believes the league has a great chance to follow that up with another strong season.
Basketball…FINALLY!
BRUUUUCE
Lol ok.
Definitely surprised UF didn’t get inside the 25
Me too, but if they aren’t, then they’re certainly in the top 30
Yep, don’t agree with FL being left out of the top 25.
