Most of the SEC’s elite programs have an idea of how February’s signing haul will look, but there’s still several uncommitted standouts pondering decision. Here are the biggest remaining targets for each team according to 247Sports’ player composite rankings:

Alabama — Crimson Tide assistant coach Mario Cristobal really wants Daron Payne, a five-star defensive tackle out of Birmingham. He has the look of former Alabama run-stopper Terrence Cody at 6-foot-2, 325 pounds and is one of the strongest players in the country.

Arkansas — The Razorbacks have locked down the state with commitments from 10 of the top 11 players, but could use another all-purpose running back and Louisiana product Kendall Bussey would be the perfect fit. The speedy, 5-foot-8 three-star is a longshot with offers from Texas A&M and Tennessee among others and a late push would be necessary.

Auburn — An outside weapon comparable to current top performers Sammie Coates and Duke Williams at the position, five-star wideout Tyron Johnson from New Orleans is down to a handful of finalists and has Auburn in the mix. Lead recruiter Dameyune Craig could use another weapon on offense.

Florida — There’s several uncommitted five-stars on Jim McElwain’s radar as the Gators’ new first-year coach, but nearby Martez Ivey at Apopka is a must-get. The 6-foot-5 offensive lineman could be the cornerstone of Florida’s new-look attack next season, a possible starter from Day 1 in Gainesville.

Georgia — Four-star linebacker Roquan Smith is a Georgia lean, but defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt’s not sold on him signing with the Bulldogs. Smith has offers from several other SEC programs including Florida and Alabama and has official visits to UCLA, LSU and Ole Miss remaining. Five-star athlete Donte Jackson from New Orleans is another top performer the Bulldogs are hoping to sign.

Kentucky — The Wildcats are reportedly in the lead for five-star Damien Harris, a 5-foot-10, 210-pound running back with 4.4 speed. The Bluegrass product who has rushed for 5,274 yards and 90 touchdowns in his high school career has Alabama and Ohio State in his final three.

LSU — California kid Iman Marshall is the typical LSU-style cornerback, long and lean with high-level instincts. The Tigers are known for signing lockdown five-star defensive backs every cycle and this uncommitted ballhawk has the potential to become the next great defender at DB ‘U’.

Mississippi — Five-star defensive end CeCe Jefferson out of Glen Saint Mary, Fla. is a U.S. Army All-American Bowl selection and Florida Gators lean that the Rebels would love to lure to Oxford. Ole Miss is going to need help up front after Robert Nkemdiche leaves for the NFL after next season.

Mississippi State — The Bulldogs have locked down the state of Mississippi, but the one Top 10 player still on the board is Gabriel Campbell, a three-star defensive end out of Yazoo City. At 6-foot-6, 250 pounds, Campbell already has the size to compete in the SEC.

Mizzou — Quarterback Drew Lock is the jewel of this year’s class, but the Tigers could get another offensive weapon in three-star athlete Marquise Doherty before February. His finalists are Mizzou, Oregon, Nebraska and Kansas State.

South Carolina — With the Gamecocks’ 2015 class nearly set, the coaching staff’s hoping four-star Georgia defensive end Arden Key doesn’t flip to the Bulldogs before signing day. The 6-foot-5 pass rusher from Lithonia committed to South Carolina in June but Georgia will get his last official visit on Jan. 30.

Tennessee — It’s coming down to Vanderbilt and Ole Miss for the services of Kyle Phillips, also the Commodores’ top remaining in-state target. He would play early at Vanderbilt and likely redshirt with the Vols since Tennessee’s set up front next season.

Texas A&M — The Aggies need serious stability at the linebacker position and five-star Malik Jefferson would provide instant depth out of Mesquite, Texas. Jefferson is thought to be a Longhorns lean, but it will likely come down to National Signing Day in a heated rivalry battle for his services.

Vanderbilt — Derek Mason hasn’t yet named a new defensive coordinator, but one would think four-star end Kyle Phillips out of Nashville is a talent he would want on that side of the football. Tennessee’s in the mix as well for a player with a quick first step and above-average athleticism.
