Since Tuesday was the first full day of summer, the college football season is now even closer to kicking off.

Therefore, it’s time to start taking a look at the Las Vegas projections and debating where teams are ranked. CBS Sports writer Chip Patterson did just that with the SEC squads’ over/under win totals, picking whether he thought each SEC team would overachieve or underachieve.

Here are the picks Patterson made on Tuesday:

  • Alabama — 10.5 wins — over
  • Auburn — 9 wins — over
  • Georgia — 9 wins — push
  • LSU — 9 wins — push
  • Florida — 8 wins — over
  • Tennessee — 7.5 wins — over
  • Texas A&M — 7.5 wins — under
  • Kentucky — 7 wins — push
  • Arkansas — 6 wins — push
  • Mizzou — 6 wins — under
  • Vanderbilt — 6 wins — over
  • Ole Miss — 5.5 wins — under
  • South Carolina — 5 wins — over
  • Mississippi State — 5 wins — over

Obviously, teams will overachieve and underachieve this season — just look at how Auburn shattered projections last fall.

For now, though, the over on South Carolina appears to be the easiest money on the board, but maybe Vegas knows something we don’t.
