Former Auburn and NBA basketball star Charles Barkley joined Birmingham’s WJOX “The Roundtable” show on Tuesday.

Barkley told the JOX crew that he and Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts have an ongoing bet. Apparently, Barkley said, it is an Iron Bowl jersey bet.

If Auburn wins this year’s game on Nov. 25, Hurts will have to wear a Tigers jersey around campus. However, if Alabama wins, Barkley will be forced to wear a Crimson Tide jersey while breaking down the NBA on TNT.

It’s pretty cool to see these guys have a friendly side bet on the game.

Ryan Brown from WJOX sent out this tweet Tuesday:

Barkley also said, uh, this statement below, in reference to Alabama fans being very worried about the Tide’s upcoming game against Auburn.

Alabama is undefeated at 10-0 and likely will be 11-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country when it travels to Jordan-Hare Stadium for the annual rivalry game. Auburn could come into the game at 9-2 and on the fringe of the Top 5.

The teams will kick off from Auburn at 3:30 p.m. ET on CBS next Saturday.
