Bowl season kicks off on Friday with 2 games on the schedule as college football fans can begin their lunch break with the Bahamas Bowl featuring Toledo and Middle Tennessee.

The Rockets are 7-5, while the Blue Raiders are 6-6 entering the game, which will be played in Nassau, with a kickoff of noon ET. It will be broadcast on ESPN, and Toledo is a 10.5-point favorite.

Both teams got off to slow starts, but Toledo won 4 of its final 5 games to earn bowl eligibility, while MTSU won 5 of its last 7 games.

The next game will be the Tailgreeter Cure Bowl featuring Northern Illinois and Coastal Carolina from Orlando, Florida. That’s set to kick off at 6 p.m. ET and be televised on ESPN2. The Chanticleers are 11-point favorites.

Speaking of dramatic turnarounds, NIU was 0-6 season in 2020 and went 9-4 this season, capped with the Mid-American Conference championship. Coastal, meanwhile, has been one of the Group of 5 darlings in recent years, and turned in its second straight 10-win season this year.
