With the 2017 college football season officially kicking off today, the College GameDay crew got together for a season preview show.
Analysts Lee Corso, Kirk Herbstreit and Desmond Howard all made their picks for conference champions and College Football Playoff finalists.
Howard had the biggest surprise, picking Georgia to win the SEC, while Herbie and Corso each had Alabama winning yet another conference title:

Interestingly, Howard still had Alabama making the College Football Playoff, picking Alabama, Miami, Stanford and Wisconsin as his final four, with Stanford beating Alabama for the title.
Corso made his picks next, and his final four consisted of Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State and USC, with USC taking down the Crimson Tide in the final.
Next up was Herbie, who had the same final four as Corso, but with Ohio State defeating the Crimson Tide for the title.
For those keeping score at home, that’s three analysts with three different teams beating Alabama in the championship game. It’s safe to say Nick Saban will use that as bulletin-board material for his squad.
