Sad news to share as the Big Ten has reportedly canceled its upcoming football season.

Now no one will be able to watch the premiere teams from that conference choke during bowl season and Jim Harbaugh’s Michigan program won’t have the opportunity to make excuses for losing to Ohio State once again.

According to the Detroit Free Press, the Big Ten has canceled its football season after speaking with several sources familiar with the situation. The formal announcement from the league is expected to come on Tuesday.

This news comes after Dan Patrick reported the Big Ten and Pac-12 were planning on canceling their seasons while noting the SEC is working hard to ensure the upcoming college football season is played. Patrick’s comments can be read here.

Paul Finebaum is also reporting that the SEC is moving forward with the season as planned.

At this time, no other reports have claimed the Pac-12 has moved to cancel its season.
