In a mock draft published on Monday, NFL draft analyst Daniel Jeremiah picked the SEC to lead all other conferences with 11 first-rounders.

The class, as expected, is headlined by Texas A&M defensive end Myles Garrett, who blew away scouts at the NFL Combine earlier this month.

Among other big names are the two LSU alums going in the top 10. Safety Jamal Adams is projected to land in Chicago via the third pick to beef up their much-maligned pass defense. Running back Leonard Fournette, according to Jeremiah, will land in Charlotte with the eighth-overall pick, replacing Jonathan Stewart and alleviating the stress on Cam Newton for the run-heavy Panthers.

Another pair of SEC pass rushers will join Garrett in the top 10, with Alabama’s Jonathan Allen coming off the board at No. 4 to the Jaguars, and Derek Barnett from Tennessee taking a trip north to Cincinnati.

Alabama leads the mock with four selections, including Allen, TE O.J. Howard, LB Reuben Foster, and OT Cam Robinson, followed closely by LSU, who adds CB Tre’Davious White to the aforementioned pair of Adams and Fournette. Missouri also lands a first rounder in this mock, as Charles Harris is pegged to go to Baltimore with the No. 16 selection.

A bit of a surprise, but a natural fit, is Ole Miss TE Evan Engram heading to Dallas with the 28th pick to bolster their already promising young core. He looks to pair with second-year QB Dak Prescott out of Mississippi State to form the best pairing of former rivals since Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson.

In a weak quarterback class skill positions are dominating this draft, and as no surprise to most, so is the SEC.
