Deion Sanders has turned Jackson State into a top-flight FCS program during his tenure as head coach of the Tigers.

However, even while the Tigers were winning games in 2021, Sanders wasn’t always on the sidelines, as he was dealing with a serious, life-threatening foot issue.

Per FootballScoop.com, Sanders even had to have 2 toes amputated as a result of complications from the foot issue:

Deion Sanders had two toes removed as a complication from the life-threatening blood clots he suffered during a prolonged hospital stay last fall.
