Liberty quarterback Kaidon Salter has decided to enter the transfer portal, according to a report.

That’s per On3’s Hayes Fawcett, who shared that news on Tuesday afternoon. Tuesday is the final day for prospects to enter the transfer portal during this window while maintaining eligibility for the 2024.

Salter led Liberty to a 13-1 record in 2024 and an appearance in the Fiesta Bowl vs. Oregon.

Salter is expected to receive plenty of interest from Power 5 programs over the coming weeks. Programs such as Auburn, Miami, Ohio State, USC and others could still add a transfer portal quarterback this offseason.

Salter does have some previous experience in the SEC. He initially signed with Tennessee out of high school but was dismissed from the program back in June of 2021. He transferred to Liberty ahead of the 2021 season and has spent the past 3 seasons with the Flames.

Salter completed 61% of his passes for 2,876 yards, 32 touchdowns and 6 interceptions this past season in what was his first full year as a starter. He also added 1,089 yards and 12 more scores on the ground.

Salter redshirted in 2021, so he will have 2 years of eligibility remaining at his next destination.
