During the Tennessee Titans’ Week 10 date with the New England Patriots on Sunday, a fan was injured and sent to the hospital after falling over a railing in Nissan Stadium, per WKRN in Nashville.

The fan was 37-year-old Thomas Carrico Jr, and was “critically injured” after falling through the cover over the home team tunnel. The incident happened during the game, while Carrico was reaching over the lower-level railing to grab a t-shirt being tossed to fans during a timeout.

Carrico was sent to Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and it is reported that he is in critical but stable condition.

It is unclear which team Carrico supports, but if he is a fan of the home team, he will at least get some good news in the hospital. The Titans took an early lead over the Patriots on Sunday, and never let go on their way to a 34-10 route of the defending AFC champions.

In all seriousness, it is good to hear that Carrico is in stable condition, in what was likely a scary scene for surrounding fans at the game in Nashville.
