This weekend, ESPN’s Travis Haney identified 10 players he thinks are poised to be next season’s most intriguing breakout players.

Four of them come from the SEC, including three of the Top 5. Check out his list below, along with a bit about why he may be right about each of the four players.

1. Adoree’ Jackson, USC DB/WR
2. Corey Clement, Wisconsin RB
3. Jalen Hurd, Tennessee RB
4. Jeremy Johnson, Auburn RB
5. Carl Lawson, Auburn DE
6. Raekwon McMillan, Ohio State LB
7. Artavis Scott, Clemson WR
8. Seth Russell, Baylor QB
9. Jamal Adams, LSU S
10. Mason Rudolph, Oklahoma State QB

Hurd: He claimed 1,120 total yards as a true freshman in 2014 despite a faulty offensive line and only half a season with QB Josh Dobbs. He won’t get the preseason hype of Leonard Fournette or Nick Chubb, but don’t be surprised when he’s every bit as impactful.

Johnson: We all saw how dangerous it is to proclaim a quarterback’s greatness before he even becomes the starter (Jacob Coker). But Johnson has 78 career pass attempts and has practiced within coach Gus Malzahn’s scheme for two full seasons now. The former four-star quarterback, at 6-foot-5 and 230 pounds, is a classic passer from a physical standpoint. How much will Malzahn adapt the offense, or will Johnson be expected to run? The return of Duke Williams was a huge boon for Johnson.

Lawson: His injury may have singlehandedly derailed a precarious Auburn defense in 2014. There were plenty of leaky areas, but the complete lack of a pass rush was brutal. Lawson, a Top 5 overall prospect in the 2013 class, should be past his knee injury and ready to serve as a cornerstone for Will Muschamp’s first post-Florida defense.

Adams: A member of the SEC All-Freshman team last season, he’ll get the opportunity to show out as the team’s next superstar in the secondary as a starter this fall. He played more and more as the season progressed and finished with 66 tackles, but he could explode as a sophomore and even put himself into contention for some national awards.

Who are some other SEC names not on the ESPN list that you expect to break out in 2015?
