Week 3 SEC awards: Fournette, Lambert share top offensive honor
LSU running back Leonard Fournette and Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert shared Week 3’s SEC Offensive Player of the Week award after career-best performances against league competition on Saturday.
Fournette rushed for 228 yards — most in the first half — during the Tigers’ dismantling of 18th-ranked Auburn. Lambert set an NCAA record for completion percentage against South Carolina, going 24-of-25 for 330 yards and touchdowns, highlighted by a school-record 20 consecutive completions at one point.

Ole Miss defensive tackle Robert Nkemdiche earned top defensive honors after collecting six tackles (including 2.5 for losses) at Alabama. The Rebels jumped from No. 15 to a tie for third in the AP Top 25 after the historic victory.

Tennessee wide receiver Preston Williams was one of four additional players honored by the league office. The five-star freshman caught two touchdown passes during the Vols’ 55-10 win over Western Carolina.
