Gary Danielson will be in the Big Ten this week, as CBS Sports will send a new broadcast crew for the “SEC on CBS” game between Ole Miss and Alabama in Tuscaloosa.

The CBS broadcast team will be Tom McCarthy, Jason McCourty and Ross Tucker, a new team assembled this season, with sideline reporter Tiffany Blackmon.

This is the second straight game with an SEC team involved for Tucker, who called the Vanderbilt-UNLV game. Tucker is a former NFL offensive lineman who played in college at Princeton. He joined CBS Sports in 2018 as a game analyst for CBS Sports Network’s college football coverage.

McCourty and Blackmon are both new this season to CBS. McCourty played at Rutgers before a 13-year NFL career and was a member of the Patriots when they won Super Bowl LIII.

CBS has alternated Danielson and his play-by-play partner Brad Nessler and sideline reporter Jenny Dell throughout the season. They began the year on the Ohio State-Indiana game, and then covered UNLV-Michigan in Week 2 before South Carolina-Georgia last week.

Danielson, Nessler and Dell will call Iowa at Penn State in primetime.

Last week’s Georgia win over South Carolina was the most-watched South Carolina-Georgia game in 9 years. It averaged 5.421 million viewers, which was up 34% as compared to last year’s comparable game, Penn State-Auburn.
