Much like the rest of college football, Southeastern Conference Commissioner Greg Sankey likely isn’t happy with the Big Ten’s decision to jump the gun and announce the league would be shifting to a conference-only format for the 2020 college football season.

The decision itself isn’t the issue; it’s the fact the Big Ten blindsided the rest of college football with the information without warning. According to the Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby, the Big Ten Commissioner Kevin Warren stated this morning his league had no plans to shift to a conference-only slate anytime soon.

So much for that.

Sankey kept his reaction diplomatic, but there’s no doubt his league may be scrambling following the Big Ten’s decision.
