Every team in the SEC signed what they considered a ‘jewel’ of the 2015 class on Wednesday. Here’s the list:

Alabama: Minkah Fitzpatrick, DB, Five-star — It’s difficult to pick a top player from the Crimson Tide’s slew of five stars in the nation’s consensus top-ranked class, but Fitzpatrick fits a serious need in Kirby Smart’s secondary who will eventually become a force after an expected redshirt season. Blake Barnett is the highest-rated quarterback Nick Saban has lured to Tuscaloosa. He’ll be a factor in due time.

Arkansas: Hjalte Froholdt, DT, Four-star — With serious departures along the defensive front, Froholdt was a necessary upgrade for the Razorbacks on defense. Arkansas dominated its home state, but went intercontinental with this selection. Froholdt is the 15th-best player at his position in the 2015 class per 247Sports.

Auburn: Byron Cowart, DE, Five-star — Arguably the nation’s best pass rusher in the 2015 cycle, Cowart was one of three uncommitted five-stars from the Sunshine State the Tigers had their eyes on this recruiting season. After committing just after 9 a.m. EST, Cowart’s signed letter of intent came seven hours later. He’ll give WIll Muschamp tremendous depth up front this fall and possibly blossom into a three-down player off the edge with Carl Lawson at the other end spot.

Florida: Martez Ivey, OT, Five-star — Florida needed tremendous help along the offensive line in this cycle and went out and got the nation’s top offensive tackle from nearby Apopka, Fla. Ivey has the look of a three-year player and potential freshman starter for Jim McElwain. The Gators are expecting another five-star signee on Thursday when commit CeCe Jefferson faxes his LOI.

Georgia: Terry Godwin, ATH, Five-star — A late addition on signing day, Godwin may not be ranked as high as defensive tackle Trent Thompson, considered the nation’s top defensive prospect, but the Bulldogs did a fine job keeping him committed.

Kentucky: C.J. Conrad, TE, Four-star — The Wildcats expect Conrad to make a splash as a rookie, providing quarterback Patrick Towles or competitor Drew Barker with a reliable target past the sticks. The huge tight end target enrolled early and never wavered.

LSU: Kevin Toliver II, DB, Five-star — In need of an immediate impact player in a depleted secondary, Toliver is the perfect fit the Tigers, a prospect with a chance to learn Kevin Steele’s system and star in his first collegiate game. Toliver doesn’t have a weakness in coverage and is one of the SEC’s most polishing incoming players.

Mississippi: Tony Bridges, DB, Four-star — One of the nation’s top JUCO transfers should start in an Ole Miss secondary next season that is faced with replacing All-Americans Senquez Golson and Cody Prewitt. A true ballhawk, Bridges will be a household name in the SEC West by October.

Mississippi State: Leo Lewis, LB, Four-star — The Bulldogs swept up this talented inside linebacker after a recent decommitment from Ole Miss. A player with potential to provide depth as a true freshman, coach Dan Mullen expects Lewis to qualify academically before the fall semester.

Missouri: Terry Beckner Jr., DT, Five-star — The emotional five-star interior defensive lineman stayed true to his lean on signing day, committing to the Tigers with tears in his eyes. The East St. Louis product is a likely Day 1 starter along a defensive front in need of pass rushers. Paired with Harold Brantley, Beckner gives Mizzou a feared duo in 2015.

South Carolina: Marquavius Lewis, DE, Four-star — If there’s one pass rusher destined to start during his first season with the Gamecocks it’s this JUCO transfer, a player with great size and speed off the edge which translates nicely in the SEC.

Tennessee: Kahlil McKenzie, DT, Five-star — This one’s debatable considering Tennessee’s five-star filled class, but McKenzie did an incredible job during the recruiting season convincing others to come to Knoxville as an extension of Butch Jones’ staff. McKenzie’s a gap to gap player with tremendous strength and burst.

Texas A&M: Daylon Mack, DT, Five-star — Quarterback Kyler Murray is the cornerstone of the Aggies’ 25-member class, but Mack became the icing on the cake Wednesday when he officially announced his college plans. Paired with Myles Garrett next season on Texas A&M’s defensive line, Mack will be unleashed early by John Chavis as one of the West’s premiere first-year players.

Vanderbilt: Josh Smith, LB, Four-star — Derek Mason called four-star quarterback Kyle Shurmur Vanderbilt’s most important signee (and highest-ranked passer ever to sign), but as far as impact players go, Smith will get an early look to start in Nashville after the Commodores held off several teams for his services. Mason will oversee Smith’s development at linebacker, a position of strength at Vanderbilt.
