One of the most popular topics every offseason centers around the hot seats being occupied by current head coaches around the nation and in the Southeastern Conference.

Following an offseason featuring four head coaching changes in the SEC, the league doesn’t have many coaches that enter the season sitting on much of a hot seat — with outliers in Will Muschamp at South Carolina and Derek Mason at Vanderbilt.

That’s the way CBS Sports also views the hot seat rankings in the SEC as Dennis Dodd has posted his latest annual rankings of college football hot seats.

One interesting ranking on this list worth mentioning is first-year Missouri coach Eli Drinkwitz. While offseason hires Lane Kiffin and Mike Leach are both rated as 0s on this list, Drinkwitz was rated as a 3.

For reference, the higher the number, the hotter the seat according to CBS Sports.

Here is how the SEC coaches rank on Dodd’s list:

Derek Mason — 5

Will Muschamp — 4

Eli Drinkwitz — 3

Jimbo Fisher — 2

Gus Malzahn — 2

Sam Pittman — 2

Jeremy Pruitt — 2

Mark Stoops — 2

Dan Mullen — 1

Nick Saban — 0

Kirby Smart — 0

Ed Orgeron — 0

Mike Leach — 0

Lane Kiffin — 0
