Jamaal Jarrett, a 4-star defensive lineman out of Greensboro, North Carolina, has announced a final 3 and 2 of them are from the SEC.

Jarrett, who is 6-foot-6 and 350 pounds, has named Auburn, Georgia and North Carolina among his finalists, in a Sunday announcement on social media. Jarrett has a reported 27 offers, and is rated the No. 26 defensive lineman in the class of 2023, and the No. 3 player in the state of North Carolina in the class of 2023, according to the 247Sports Composite. Jarrett also announced he would share his commitment on July 19. He’s being recruited to Auburn by Jimmy Brumbaugh, and to Georgia by Tray Scott.

“To be honest I might cut down my last officials and make a decision this summer or early or late July,” Jarrett told Dawgs247. “These three schools have really set the tone for my family and, UNC, Auburn, and UGA really been on my mind.”

Other notes about Jarrett include that he also competes in shot put and discus, and posted a 39-7.5 shot put and a 126-4 discus as a junior in March 2022. Last season, he played primarily played inside at defensive tackle in a four-man front during junior season. In 2020, he played both ways as an offensive tackle, offensive guard, and defensive tackle during his sophomore season.
