Yet another preseason watch list is out as the Jim Thorpe Award has honored 49 outstanding defensive backs from around the country as selections for the award given annually to the best player at that position.

When it comes down to the official breakdown per conference, the Southeastern Conference led the nation with seven players selected on the watch list.

The Jim Thorpe Award is scheduled to narrow its selection down to 10 to 15 semifinalists on the first Monday of November before announcing three finalists on Thanksgiving Weekend.

The award will be given out during the 2020 The Home Depot College Football Awards Show in early December.
