The offseason preseason watch list heading into the 2020 college football season continues as the John Mackey Award, given annually to the nation’s best tight end, has unveiled its preseason list on Friday.

The Southeastern Conference is well-represented on the list this year as nine players from the league have been honored this offseason. Interestingly, four of the SEC players listed below are newcomers to the league.

Last season, the John Mackey Award went to FAU tight end Harrison Bryant after he caught 65 passes for 1,004 yards and seven touchdowns. Now Lane Kiffin will be coaching Temple transfer and John Mackey Award watch list member Kenny Yeboah in Oxford this fall.
