Now that the SEC schedule is out, we know who has the toughest stretches of games and who has a more favorable order of games.

After the schedule was released, ESPN analyst Kirk Herbstreit appeared on the SEC Network release show and made his picks for who would win the SEC West and SEC East.

Herbstreit thinks Alabama will meet Georgia in the SEC Championship Game in December, with the Crimson Tide hoisting the trophy.

“I felt Alabama would be the team in the West,” he said. “I love LSU and Coach O, but I think they lost a lot there, so I would favor Alabama, even though that schedule looks tough. I would put Georgia. I was sneaky wanting to pick Florida with all the Georgia hype, but that (Florida) schedule makes me nervous. I have Georgia and Bama with Bama prevailing and winning the SEC.”

Alabama has a bunch of returning talent, and many think the Tide will make a run at a College Football Playoff spot. Could Georgia also lock down a spot in the Playoff by making it to the SEC title game? We’ll find out as the season moves along.

Whatever happens, the 10-game SEC slate is sure to be exciting!
