College football returned in full force over the weekend as there were wall-to-wall games to enjoy from noon to midnight on Saturday.

Overall, the day was glorious to partake — unless, of course, you are a Big 12 fan.

The league that may have just saved college football season this summer appears to have forgotten to prepare for it as the league was embarrassed by the Sun Belt on Saturday.

While Oklahoma rolled over Missouri State 48-0, Texas beat up on UTEP 59-3 and West Virginia took care of Eastern Kentucky 56-10, No. 23 Iowa State lost at home against Louisiana 31-14, Arkansas State won on the road at Kansas State 35-31, Texas Tech barely survived a matchup with Houston Baptist 35-33, while Coastal Carolina won at Kansas 38-23.

Baylor and TCU were scheduled to play this weekend but each team’s respective games were postponed.

Just like in recent seasons, the Big 12 seems to be a race between Oklahoma and Texas, we just got to that point quicker than normal this year.
