Finebaum made some slight alterations to this week’s ranking from his first list that came out last week.
His top three teams remained the same, Alabama, Georgia and Notre Dame, but Clemson moved into Finebaum’s fourth slot a week after he had Ohio State there. The Buckeye fell Saturday at Iowa, 55-24.
Finebaum had Clemson fifth last week, just ahead of Oklahoma. This week, the Sooners are fifth and Miami is sixth in Finebaum’s ranking.
In the committee’s rankings, Georgia was No. 1, followed by Alabama, Notre Dame and Clemson.
The official rankings will be released on ESPN at 7 p.m. Eastern.
