It’s becoming more and more clear that ESPN wants to change up the Monday Night Football broadcast booth.

Joe Tessitore and Booger McFarland can’t be feeling too confident about their position right now, as rumors are flying about potential MNF changes.

For example, reports have said ESPN has tried to land Peyton Manning once again, wanted to sign Tony Romo and even offered Drew Brees a contract for when he retires from the NFL.

One other option being considered, according to Andrew Marchand of the New York Post, is moving the top college football broadcast team — Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit — to the Monday Night Football booth:

ESPN has put the idea of moving its college team of Chris Fowler and Kirk Herbstreit back on the table, but is wary of creating a problem with its national championship duo. They can’t be ruled out, though, just yet.

That would be quite the shakeup in the broadcasting world. Would Fowler and Herbstreit go for that? It seems there are several options being debated at the Worldwide Leader these days.
