The SEC Week 9 slate only contains 6 games, but that doesn’t mean there aren’t some intriguing matchups looming on the final Saturday of October.

Opening betting lines for this week’s games were released on Sunday by Circa Sports.

  • LSU at Texas A&M (-3)
  • Texas (-17) at Vanderbilt
  • Missouri at Alabama (-13)
  • Oklahoma at Ole Miss (-20)
  • Arkansas (-8) at Mississippi State
  • Auburn at Kentucky (-3)

Let’s start with the primetime showdown in College Station, where No. 14 Texas A&M hosts No. 8 LSU in a matchup of surging teams that both lost their season opener and have both since reeled off 6 straight wins. The host Aggies open as a 3-point favorite in the 7:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC.

Meanwhile, Vanderbilt begins life as a ranked team that it hopes lasts for more than a week, as the No. 25 Commodores host No. 5 Texas, which will be looking to bounce back from a Week 8 home loss to Georgia as it got knocked out of the No. 1 spot in the AP Poll. The opening line believes the Longhorns might do exactly that, as Texas is a 17-point road favorite in the 4:15 p.m. ET kickoff on SEC Network.

The 3:30 p.m. ET kickoff on ABC pits 2 teams that are struggling a bit right now, as No. 15 Alabama hosts No. 21 Missouri. The Crimson Tide are coming off a loss at Tennessee, while Missouri barely escaped at home against Auburn. Alabama opens as a 13-point favorite as it looks to avoid a 3rd loss in 4 games.

No. 18 Ole Miss opens as a 20-point favorite at home against reeling Oklahoma in a noon ET kickoff on ESPN.

Arkansas is an 8-point road favorite over Mississippi State in a 12:45 p.m. ET kickoff on SEC Network, and Kentucky is a 3-point favorite at home against Auburn in a 7:45 p.m. ET kickoff on SEC Network.
