The SEC East will welcome a new crop of pass catchers in the 2015 season. With the passing game ever evolving in the SEC, receivers are having much more of a dynamic impact on this era of the college game.

SDS has rounded up the incoming receivers for the 2015 class, with the skinny on each prospect:

SDS references 247Sports Composite Rankings.

Florida Gators

Kalif Jackson (3-star): Listed as a wide receiver, Kalif Jackson may become more of a hybrid tight end in Jim McElwain’s offense. The early enrollee could make a splash in 2015, depending on how the depth chart and spring practice shakes out.

Antonio Callaway (3-star): One of the biggest steals in the recruiting class, Callaway flipped from Miami and signed with Florida on signing day. Callaway could be the hidden offensive gem of the entire recruiting class.

Georgia Bulldogs

Terry Godwin (5-star): Arguably the most dynamic athlete of the entire recruiting class — ranked as the No. 1 athlete, Godwin comes in with Malcolm Mitchell-type expectations. Georgia sure hopes Godwin’s career gets off to a quicker start than Mitchell’s for sure. Godwin will see the field early.

Jayson Stanley (4-star): A top 25 player in the state of Georgia, Stanley will fit nicely in Georgia’s receiving rotation. He’s a burner who excels in yards after the catch, even at 6-2, 200 pounds.

Michael Chigbu (3-star): The New Orleans native recorded 785 receiving yards and six touchdowns as a high school senior, and he’s one to watch in the future for the Bulldogs.

Tae Crowder (3-star): Although Tae Crowder is listed as a wide receiver on 247Sports Composite Rankings, he’ll like play more running back. He’ll remind you of Todd Gurley, and he’s a hidden gem.

Kentucky Wildcats

Jabari Greenwood (3-star): The highest ranked Wildcats’ receiver signee, Greenwood will push for immediate playing time. It will take some time for Greenwood to grow into his 6-4 frame, but he’ll be a nice player in the future for the Cats.

Tavin Richardson (3-star): The South Carolina native is another Cats’ receiver with a big frame, listed at 6-3, 200 pounds. Although Richardson isn’t a burner in the open field, he’s a big possession guy with great hands. He could make a quick impact.

Therrell Gosier (3-star): Therrell Gosier looks more like a power forward than he does a receiver, listed at 6-6, 200 pounds. Gosier was a former Miami commit and held offers from elite teams around the country.

Will Jackson (2-star):Listed as an athlete according to 247Sports Composite Rankings, William Jackson still could play a few different positions at UK. He’s 6-3, 190 pounds, and he was previously committed to Western Michigan.

Missouri Tigers

Johnathon Johnson (3-star): A Memphis, Tennessee, prospect, Johnathon Jones is listed as an athlete at 5-8, 165 pounds. Although he doesn’t have great size, Johnson is an explosive and elusive player in the open field. He reminds me of Marcus Murphy.

Ronnell Perkins (3-star): Ronnell Perkins could either play wide receiver or safety for the Tigers, and his ball skills jump out immediately. Perkins would excel on either side of the football for the Tigers.

Justin Smith (3-star): One of the tallest receivers in the country, Justin Smith will tower above the rest at 6-7. Mizzou’s starting receivers have looked more like power forwards than receivers in recent years, and Smith will be a fun one to watch develop.

Richaud Floyd (3-star):The Mississippi native is another 4.40 40 guy who is similar to former running back, receiver and special teams star Marcus Murphy.

South Carolina

Jalen Christian (4-star): Listed as an athlete, Jalen Christian could excel as either a cornerback or a wide receiver at the next level. How did Maryland ever let such a dynamic player leave the state? South Carolina fans will love Jalen Christian.

Christian Owens (3-star): The early enrollee Georgia native has really nice size, listed at 6-5, 205 pounds. Owens could blow into the Gamecocks’ tight end similar to Rory Anderson or Jerell Adams. Owens is a talented player.

Jerad Washington (3-star): Another early enrollee, Jerad Washington hails from the Sunshine State. Washington is more of a burner who has nice speed and nice hands. He’ll be an asset in Steve Spurrier’s offense.

Dexter Neal (3-star): The pipeline at Stone Mountain, Georgia (Stephenson), remains open for USC. It’s the same high school Mike Davis attended. Dexter Neal is another receiver Gamecock fans will grow to love, and there’s a lot to envy in his 6-4, 200-pound frame.

Tennessee Volunteers

Preston Williams (4-star): Preston Williams will join an absolutely loaded wide receiver group for the Tennessee Vols. The Vols’ receiving rotation is nearly set for 2015, but Williams is one prospect who could break into the lineup, because he may be too talented to keep on the sidelines.

Vanderbilt Commodores

Jared Pinkney (3-star): Vanderbilt is continually looking for its next Jordan Matthews, and the Commodores’ staff hopes Jared Pinkney is that type of pillar to build its program upon. He’s listed at 6-5, 225 pounds, and he could grow into more of a hybrid tight end role in the future. But one thing’s for sure: the Commodores received a playmaker in Pinkney.
