Week 4 came with the closest matchup set between SEC teams yet. The SEC hasn’t been entirely impressive through the first 4 weeks of the season as it shows in ESPN’s latest power rankings after Week 4. 6 teams from the SEC find themselves among the top teams in ESPN’s power rankings.

Ten teams from the SEC faced each other to start Week 4 with some starting conference play. Only Georgia, Tennessee, Florida and Missouri faced nonconference opponents. All 4 four of these teams won their nonconference matchups.

Georgia had its big win at home against a cupcake team in the UAB Blazers 49-21. Alabama had its best win of the season at home over Ole Miss following a second-half surge with a 24-10 score.

LSU survived a second-half scare at home against Arkansas 34-31 in a rivalry game. Tennessee and Florida took care of their nonconference cupcake teams at home against UTSA and Charlotte, respectively.

Georgia may be the top team in ESPN’s power rankings, but it is the only team in the top ten. This year’s SEC appears to be bottom-heavy regarding the AP Poll and the power rankings.

Here’s where the SEC stands, via ESPN:

No. 1 Georgia (4-0)
No. 11 Alabama (3-1)
No. 13 LSU (3-1)
No. 20 Tennessee (3-1)
No. 21 Ole Miss (3-1)
No. 22 Florida (3-1)
