The SEC made college football history Sunday.

Following Ohio State’s win over Wisconsin in the Big Ten Championship, Alabama slid into the No. 4 slot in the College Football Playoff rankings. Joining Alabama is the SEC Champion Georgia Bulldogs as the No. 3 seed. No. 1 Clemson and No. 2 Oklahoma were the top two seeds.

Obviously, the whole debate centered around Ohio State and Alabama, but in the end, the selection committee thought Alabama was the better overall team and had a better “full body of work” than the Buckeyes.

Even more significant, it could set up to be an all-SEC national championship between the Bulldogs and Tide.

This will be a fun College Football Playoff.
