SEC Nation analysts Paul Finebaum, Greg McElroy and Marcus Spears recently weighed in on the ongoing preseason debate on which team deserves more hype — Tennessee or Arkansas?

Here’s what they said:

Paul Finebaum: Arkansas

“I’m buying Arkansas because it’s cheaper. The Tennessee hype is out of sight right now. I think it’s fairly close. I think Arkansas took a step back this week with the injury, but on the other hand I think Tennessee has a ways to go. I think Arkansas showed us at the end of last season.”

Greg McElroy: Arkansas

“Jonathan Williams is the better back out of him and (Alex) Collins, but I’m still also buying Arkansas because they can win at the line of scrimmage. And when they have he lead, they can play with it. When you look at Tennessee, I love their defensive ends, but I don’t love their defensive tackles. I love Arkansas’ defensive from a depth standpoint and scheme standpoint. Robb Smith does a terrific job making sure those guys play together and that offensive line is as big as we have in all of football. I love this Arkansas team.

Marcus Spears: Tennessee

“(It’s) talent. And when you look a the quarterback position, he’s a guy who can make this offensive line better. What they lack in, he makes up in athletic ability. I gotta be honest with you Greg, this defensive line might be the best in the conference this year. Kahlil McKenzie, the incoming freshman at defensive line, he’s a monster. We’ve already seen the tape and he can destroy people.

“I think offensive line with be compensated for what what Josh Dobbs can do with his feet. I think is a better football team because of the skill position at and quarterback offensively.”
