The annual SEC Media Days have been held at the Wynfrey Hotel in Hoover, Alabama for nearly two decades, but all good things must eventually come to an end.

However, the end of SEC Media Days in Hoover may come sooner rather than later, as SEC Network host Dari Nowkhah believes the popular event will be on the move next year.

During an appearance on WNSP 105.5 on Thursday, Nowkhah said he doesn’t think the event will be held in either Hoover or Atlanta in 2018 (via AL.com):

“My gut tells me no,” Nowkhah said about media days returning to Hoover. “Now, I don’t think we’re here. I don’t think we’re in Atlanta. I think we could be somewhere else.”

Nowkhah refused to speculate further, but it’s been rumored that Nashville, Dallas and other locations could be in the mix to host the event:

“I’m not at liberty to say,” Nowkhah said. “I have it on good accord it won’t be either (Hoover or Atlanta).”

Hoover will likely remain in the mix to host Media Days if they do indeed become a rotating event, but it seems as if the Wynfrey Hotel may have seen the last of the annual hoopla for a few years.
