The SEC lost a lot of talent at quarterback this offseason, with guys like Joe Burrow, Tua Tagovailoa, Jake Fromm and others moving on to the NFL.

However, that doesn’t mean the cupboard is empty heading into the 2020 campaign. But, it will be a little tougher to nail down the top quarterbacks in the conference.

On Monday, SEC Network analyst Gene Chizik named his top 5 QBs for this year. As you can see below, he has Florida’s Kyle Trask at No. 1, followed by Texas A&M’s Kellen Mond, Alabama’s Mac Jones, Georgia’s Jamie Newman and Ole Miss’s John Rhys Plumlee:

How will those guys fare this season? That remains to be seen, but they’ve all proven that they have some serious talent.

We’ll see if a few guys from other schools can work their way into this mix as well.
