I will be talking to a few NFL scouts throughout the season to get their take on SEC players that are helping or hurting their prospects at the next level. I’ll pass along some of those thoughts to you here.

Here are some of the SEC players that have scouts talking this week.

STOCK RISING

  • Duke Williams, WR Auburn. He was the No. 1 junior college transfer. He’s comparable to Alshon Jeffery. He has great ball skills and he’s very athletic.
  • Cassanova McKinzy, LB Auburn. He’s a shorter guy, but tough and mean as a snake. Thick and strong as an ox.
  • Leonard Floyd, OLB/DE Georgia. He’s a very good pass rusher, which is huge in the NFL. He’s a very athletic kid with a high motor.

STOCK FALLING

  • Jalen Mills, DB LSU. He’s a tweener. Is he a safety or a corner? He has to figure it out.
  • A.J. Cann, OL, South Carolina. He just hasn’t played as well as he did in the 2013 season.
