With plenty of action every Saturday, there’s always going to be plenty of highlight reel plays. Of course, there are also those plays that are better off forgotten. Here at Saturday Down South, we don’t forget. Let’s run down the lowest of the lowlights from week three.

3. Patrick Towles late-game intentional grounding: This veers away from the goofs usually seen on this list, but it was as big ofa gaffe as any on Saturday. Towles had a chance to manufacture a game-winning drive at the end of regulation, and instead came this close to a safety that would have won the game for Florida.

2. Georgia players collide on kickoff: As if the pain of losing to one of their biggest rivals isn’t enough, these two Bulldogs are going to have to deal with some funny looks when going over film this week. You’re not supposed to hit each other, fellas!

1. Vanderbilt gives up a fake punt touchdown The Commodores got their first win of the season, a nail-biter even though it came against one of the saddest programs in FBS. It wasn’t looking so rosy for Derek Mason’s squad early on when they went down by two touchdowns early on. The low point: this fake punt touchdown by the UMass Minutemen.
