TreVonte Citizen, top uncommitted 2022 RB, names top 8 with 3 SEC teams

TreVonte Citizen is the 247Sports Composite’s top uncommitted running back of the 2022 recruiting class. On Thursday, the 4-star prospect out of Lake Charles (Louisiana) named his top 8 teams, including 3 from the SEC.
Citizen, whose 247Sports profile shows 26 scholarship offers, included Auburn, Florida and LSU in his top group, along with Grambling, Miami, Michigan State, Nebraska and USC.

With the Composite’s top 8 running backs in the class of 2022 already signed, Citizen is the top prize at the position heading into National Signing Day (Feb. 2, 2022) as the No. 9 RB of 2022. Citizen committed to LSU on July 19, 2021, but backed off that pledge on Nov. 28. Kevin Faulk, who was not retained by Brian Kelly, was leading LSU’s recruitment of Citizen.
