A Tennessee State football player who punched one of his coaches on the sideline during a game last Saturday could be facing charges.

Latrelle Lee, who was a defensive end for the program, was caught on video punching strength coach, T.J. Greenstone, twice in the head and knocking him to the ground.

Tennessee State announced that Lee had been kicked off the team and expelled from the university.

As of late Tuesday afternoon, the Davidson County Sheriff’s Office jail website showed Lee had not been arrested or booked in jail, according to a report from The Tennessean.

However, Greenstone was reportedly scheduled to meet with campus police on Tuesday to decide whether or not he wanted to pursue charges.

Even if he doesn’t pursue charges, Lee could apparently still be charged for the attack.

“Because the assault was caught on video and observed by thousands of witnesses, the Davidson County District Attorney’s Office can file charges against Lee even if Greenstone says he does not want to press charges,” the report indicated.
