WATCH: Troy coach uses walk-on player’s mom to surprise him with a scholarship

Long-snappers are some of the unsung heroes of the college football world, as they play an important role in making sure punts and kicks go off without a hitch.
Cameron Kaye is Troy’s long-snapper, and he played in every game for the Trojans last season. Ahead of the 2018 season, coach Neal Brown had a surprise for the hard-working walk-on.
As you can see in the video below, Kaye’s mother came to practice to deliver the news and hand her son his scholarship:
These videos are always so great, especially when you get to see a guy’s teammates go crazy congratulating him for his scholarship.
Add in a player’s mom (and what may be another family member), and it’s an even more special moment.
