Kentucky fell back to earth — hard — Saturday night, suffering a 41-3 loss at LSU.

As a result, each of the Mississippi schools — unbeaten and ranked in the top three in the country — face relatively tame betting lines once again.

Ole Miss (7-0, 4-0) must go on the road to LSU as a 3.5-point favorite. The Rebels have played just two road games thus far — at Vanderbilt and at Texas A&M — but the team’s defense seems to travel well. Vegas still hasn’t made a major adjustment in favor of Ole Miss, it seems (see below).

Meanwhile, Mississippi State (6-0, 3-0), the No. 1 team in the country, gets the Wildcats after an off week. Dak Prescott and a host of all-SEC talent do have to travel for just the second time this season within the SEC. But remember, this Kentucky team already has lost to Florida and LSU. Mississippi State went to Baton Rogue and built a 24-point fourth-quarter lead. In the same stadium, Kentucky lost by 38 points.

Yet the Wildcats are just a 12-point home underdog according to the first line posted Sunday evening.

Bet against Ole Miss at your own risk.

The Rebels (7-0 SU) continue to sizzle in Vegas, crushing Tennessee on the field and in the books. Coach Hugh Freeze and company have outperformed the Vegas line by a combined 91 points this season, including a push against Memphis and six wins ATS.

Meanwhile, Texas A&M has seen a major market correction. Once a combined +72 ATS this season, the Aggies have suffered four consecutive losing tickets in Vegas and now are -8.5 ATS overall.
