Former South Carolina star Mike Davis landed with a new team on Tuesday. Unfortunately, it came after a bit of a rough week for the running back.

According to Michael Rothstein with ESPN, Davis’ Atlanta area home was robbed on Wednesday. During the burglary, over $100,000 worth of items were stolen from Davis’ house.

Over the weekend, Davis tweeted about the burglary and said that a pair of custom cleats honoring his late father who passed away from cancer were among the items taken:

“The devil works hard but I ain’t gone let it ruin me,” wrote Davis. “Some youngins broke into my crib and stole my jewelry. But the most important thing they stole was my cleats with my dad name and cancer cause on it. Now that hurts.”

ESPN reported some of the jewelry pieces stolen are a diamond necklace with No. 28 valued at $25,000 and a diamond necklace with “MD” valued at $25,000. Two Cartier bracelets, four tennis chains and a Gucci handbag were also listed.
