Former South Carolina WR Pharoh Cooper is an intriguing pro prospect that many folks were interested to perform at the NFL Combine.
That’s why it was disappointing to learn that the electric playmaker will not be running a 40-yard dash, according to a report from NFL.com’s CHase Goodbread on Thursday.
Cooper strained his quad during training for the event, and that’s going to keep him on the sidelines.

Even if Cooper felt he was able to give it a go, not running is a smart decision if he’s not at 100-percent health. A bad 40-yard dash time could negatively impact his draft stock, and participating could leave him open to further injury.
The Gamecocks will host a pro day on campus on April 1. It is not yet known if Cooper will be healthy enough to run at point.
