Former South Carolina punter Joseph Charlton went undrafted in the 2020 NFL Draft, but he has found a home ahead of the 2020 season.

On Wednesday, the Carolina Panthers decided to take a flyer on the ex-Gamecock, who won the team’s Jim Carlen Award as the special teams MVP in 2019.

As you can see below, the Panthers announced their decision to sign Charlton via Twitter on Wednesday afternoon:

Charlton also posted a picture of himself signing the contract on his Instagram page:

He’ll compete with another former SEC standout — Tennessee’s Michael Palardy — for the starting job when the Panthers head to camp later this month.
